CPH village is an example of temporary housing which can be moved to other sites when the current is to be developed. Their housing concept is currently aimed for students and soon also elderly. In general, they are based on modular construction and have a low carbon footprint due to biobased construction and many shared spaces. One of their locations are next to Living Places. When visiting Living Placesalso take the time to visit Banegaarden– transformation of industry area into vibrant area with a lot of restaurants and bars. Here it is also possible to explore beautiful wooden construction.

CPH S: Transforming 70ties buildings by re-designing the surrounding landscaping

The Social Spine is small transformation project with big impact. It showcases how green roofs can incorporate climatic, sustainable, biodiverse, and social values on all scales. At the same time, the re-design of the landscaping is a way to upgrade the impression of a beforehand perceived “ugly” building from the 70ties brutality.

CPH S: Community in the city – decarbonizing by sharing spaces

A new residential community designed by Vandkunsten with organic communal dining has been established. The community consists of 41 cooperative apartments and 34 condominiums, totaling 75 homes of varying sizes and with different flexible floor plans. The construction consists of concrete and brick, and emphasis has been placed on designing it to be easily disassembled, allowing for material reuse. City Center: Innovative concepts on residential housing with a 75 % reduction on carbon footprint

Pavilions representing radical ideas on future housing where it is possible to reduce the carbon load of new residential construction by 75 %. The Pavilions are a part of the initiative "Housing from 4 to 1 planet" put in place by Realdania and The Velux Foundations. City Center: Transforming a former shipyard and doing a lot of temporary activities

Take a walk around Refshaleøen and explore the transformation of a former shipyard with many different temporary activities such as street food. Denmark’s first biobased builders merchant “Havnens Hænder” is also located in the area at Refshalevej 165C. When walking around you can pass the world-famous restaurant Noma – their garden and architecture is quite inspiring. It will also be impossible to overlook CopenHill/Amager Bakke the highly debated waste-energy plant with green recreational areas, skiing, climbing.
