Smith Commons er en not-for-profit organisation etableret i 2024, der gennem uafhængige forsknings-, rådgivnings- og udviklingsaktiviteter arbejder for at opnå balance mellem det byggede miljø og planeten. Arbejdet med at hjælpe fonde og organisationer er ikke nyt for os i Smith Innovation. Vi har 15 års erfaring med netop dette, og med udvidelsen af vores virksomhed ser vi nu et potentiale og en mening i en konkret, organisatorisk opdeling. 

I Smith Commons hjælper vi fonde og organisationer med et almennyttigt formål med at drive systemisk forandring på et både strategisk og operationelt niveau. Det kan være at omsætte filantropiske målsætninger til konkrete indsatser og forandringsteorier, det kan være at håndtere en faglig og administrativ uddeling af midler samt håndtering af donationer til andre parter. 

Et bærende element og omdrejningspunkt i Smith Commons er etableringen af koalitioner og partnerskaber. Vi tror på at flerheden i de udfordringer, som vi står overfor, også skal afspejles i sammensætningen af kompetencer. Smith Commons repræsenterer således en af vores tre tilgange hos Smith Innovation, og udgør ligesom Smith Academy og Smith Consulting et af virksomhedens tre ben og ekspertiseafdelinger. 

Meaningful partnerships for the greater good

Smith Commons is a not-for-profit organization established in 2024. Through independent research, consultancy and development activities, the organization seeks to achieve balance between the built environment and the planet. Advising foundations and organizations is not new to us at Smith Innovation. We have 15 years of experience within the field, and with the expansion of our company, we have come to realize the potential and a meaning of a concrete, organizational division.

At Smith Commons, we help foundations and organizations with not-for-profit purposes drive systemic change at a strategic and operational level, such as translating philanthropic objectives into concrete efforts and theories of change, handling a professional and administrative distribution of funds, and handling donations to other parties. 

A focal point in Smith Commons is the establishment of coalitions and partnerships. We believe that the multitude of challenges we face must also be reflected in the composition of skills and professions. Smith Commons thus represents one of our three approaches at Smith Innovation and, like Smith Academy and Smith Consulting, Smith Commons constitutes one of the company's departments of expertise.
