Alexandra Wittchen

With analytical depth, Alexandra focuses on the relationship between people and technology, examining underlying systemic barriers and opportunities in order to promote the adoption of new solutions that reduce the environmental impact of construction.

Alexandra approaches her work from a problem-solving perspective, carefully examining the whole network and all stakeholders relevant to future solutions. She looks across systems to ensure a transition that takes into account technical, human and organisational elements.

Written communication and graphic elements serve as tools to translate and convey complex issues, supporting Alexandra's structured approach and keen ear for exploring the challenges and experiences of others.

Change requires anchoring.

Alexandra is a civil engineer specialising in sustainable design and working on sustainable transition and innovation. She is determined to leverage diverse experiences and allow the design of new solutions to be defined by end users through an analytical approach to different perspectives and worldviews. A user-driven perspective is also central to Alexandra's efforts to anchor, disseminate and scale solutions within the planetary transition.

With experience from the sustainability group at AAU BUILD, Alexandra possesses deep knowledge of the built environment and the methodology behind life cycle analyses. With a particular focus on wood, Alexandra has researched the state of transition among stakeholders in the construction industry, gaining an understanding of existing barriers and what is needed to overcome them.
